Identity and ownership
We review evidence for the person responsible for the profile. A claim cannot become verified on business details alone.
Business verification requirements
Verification should tell customers something useful. VereLocal reviews the person behind a profile, the way the business operates and the evidence relevant to its services, then shows which checks were completed without publishing private documents.
A clear evidence trail
Confirm the person behind the profile
Review the business and service evidence
Show exactly which checks were completed
Verification explains what was reviewed. It is not a guarantee of future work, quality or availability.
The minimum standard
A verified profile needs evidence for the owner or responsible person, plus the minimum checks required for its business structure and selected services.
We review evidence for the person responsible for the profile. A claim cannot become verified on business details alone.
Limited companies may need director and trading-status checks. Other structures need evidence appropriate to how they operate.
Insurance, qualifications, accreditations, portfolio work or DBS evidence may be needed where the category calls for it.
Category-aware checks
These examples are grouped directly from current category settings in Payload. Requirements can be strengthened as a category, leaf service or regulation changes.
Sensitive evidence stays private
Verification documents are restricted to the people who need them for review. Public profiles show the resulting check, not copies of identity, insurance or qualification documents.
The exact evidence changes by business structure and service, but the process stays understandable.
Add the identity, ownership, business and service evidence requested in your dashboard. Only use the secure verification upload area for sensitive files.
VereLocal reviews the evidence against your profile, business structure and selected categories. Missing or expired evidence may need to be replaced.
Approved checks can appear on your profile with clear wording. Customers see what was reviewed, not a blanket promise that VereLocal guarantees the business.
A public check means VereLocal reviewed the named evidence for that profile. The label should make the scope of the check clear.
Documents can expire or business details can change. A check may be reviewed again, hidden or removed if the supporting evidence is no longer current.
Verification is one useful signal alongside reviews, profile details and your own judgement. It does not guarantee quality, availability or the outcome of future work.
No. Profiles should show whether they are unclaimed, self-reported or supported by checks completed through VereLocal. Customers should not assume a check exists unless the profile shows it.
No. Identity, insurance, qualification and similar documents are restricted evidence. A public profile can show the resulting check and relevant dates, not the document itself.
No. Identity and business information form the starting point. Insurance, qualifications, accreditations, portfolios, DBS checks or other evidence can be required where the service calls for them.
VereLocal may check the identity of an owner or director, the company’s trading status and whether the person managing the profile is connected to the business.
The check may need to be renewed. If current evidence is not supplied, the related public verification status can be removed or changed.
Start your business profile with accurate services and business details. VereLocal will show which evidence is relevant as category verification expands.
